Janie has been painting over 10 years. Her main story is bush orange that is originally her father's dreaming. She uses fine dots to represent the seeds of the bush orange. The first Janie's painting for Mbantua Gallery was done in November 2017. Her sisters, Katie and Pauline Morgan are also painters. Janie is a very shy woman and loves painting.

Janie paints the Atwakeye, known as the bush orange. The small compact tree of the wild orange plant has creamy white flowers that open during the night and wither before the end of the next day. The fruit hang down on long stalks and usually ripen from October through January.
